In this course we go through all of the barista basics on how to make good coffee on your machine. This includes grinding principles using your grinder or how to best use pre-ground coffee in your machine and how to texture milk to a cafe-quality standard. To finish the session, we will go over machine maintenance and cleaning to ensure you keep caffeinated (or decaffeinated) for years to come.
This course is a one-on-one and so can be fairly tailored to you and what you want to get out of it. If you can already confidently make coffee confidently on your machine and want to learn more advanced theory and methods, just let us know and we can accommodate this to the best of our ability.
After Completion You Can:
- Confidently use your espresso machine to make high quality coffee at home.
- Develop espresso recipes for different coffee types to best extract their flavour.
- Professionally clean all of your equipment to keep it in good condition.
- Use different brewing techniques to get the most out of your equipment.
This course requires no existing skills or knowledge on using an espresso machine, just the machine itself! You are not required to bring your own coffee equipment in (eg. Grinder, milk pitcher, tamper etc.) but we recommend that you bring you at least bring the coffee grinder. The more you can bring the better though as it will benefit you more to learn with your own equipment.
